Play guitar since the age of 12, and a friend of Steve Miller's from early on. Silk Degrees is the seventh solo album by Boz Scaggs, released on Columbia Records in February 1976. The album peaked at No. 2 and spent 115 weeks on the Billboard 200. It has been certified five times platinum by the RIAA and remains Scaggs's best selling album.

The album is her most successful, reaching #6 on the Billboard 200 and having been certified platinum (over 1 million U.S. copies sold). The album spawned three Billboard top twenty hits; a cover of Boz Scaggs' "We're All Alone" (#7), a cover of The Temptations' "The Way You Do The Things You Do" (#20), and the album's biggest hit, "(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher and Higher" (#2), a remake of Jackie Wilson's "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher".

The Three Degrees are anAmerican female vocal group, formed in 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group has always been a trio, although there have been a number of personnel changes and a total of fifteen women have represented the group so far. The original members were Fayette Pinkney, Shirley Porter and Linda Turner. After leaving Philadelphia International Records, the group signed a onealbum contract with Epic Records (a subsidiary of CBS Records) in late 1976. The resulting album coincided with the departure of founding group member Fayette Pinkney, and the return of former member Helen Scott. In 1977 they recorded "We're All Alone" on the album titled "Standing Up For Love".

Robert McElhiney James. American keyboardist, singer, songwriter, producer and music arranger. He was born December 25, 1939 in Marshall, Missouri. The Song was included in the album “Heads” which is the fifth album by jazz musician Bob James, released in October 1977. It was his first album released on his newly formed Tappan Zee label, which was distributed at the time by Columbia Records. The album reached number one on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.
