The West End Trio continue to stay together at the nests & engage in some beautiful flybys, flying & soaring! All three are seen chasing a parent for a food delivery (someone got it off cam!) and they are seen on the natal nest and historic nest off and on. We have one of the juvie attempting to land on the cam pole with a loud bang and it shaking up the viewing for a few seconds before flying off! Beautiful flight of Sterling off the historic nest in slomo and Treasure's flyby in the late afternoon setting sun! They truly are the magnificent trio! Nest info: Eaglets WE1 (Koa), hatch 3/9 3am; WE2 (Treasure), hatch 3/9 7pm; WE3 (Sterling) 3/12 hatch by 4:10am; Thunder (F) 15 yrs old; Akecheta (M) (wing tag 61) 8 yrs old.

This eagle pair is a success story, part of a bald eagle restoration program started by the Institute for Wildlife Studies in 1980. Their nest has been active since 1991 and has been streaming live since 2005.

The West End Bald Eagle Cam is made possible through an educational partnership between Institute for Wildlife Studies, Montrose Settlements Program, Santa Catalina Island Conservancy, and Explore.org.
