The new WESTERN® prewet system accessory allows the operator to prewet material with a brine solution just before it hits the spinner. This provides two distinct advantages over dry application. Prewetting salt begins a chemical reaction in the salt, which accelerates melting.

Prewet granules also bounce less when hitting the pavement for greater control. Studies have proven application rates can be reduced by 2030% when prewetting salt with liquids. Get more jobs done faster, saving time and money.

The prewet system can be added to all Striker™ stainless steel hopper spreaders and any Tornado™ poly hopper spreader models manufactured February 2016 or later. With the purchase of an additional adapter kit, the prewet system can be installed on a Tornado model manufactured between 2009 and January 2016.
