WHAT CAN HAPPEN IF DON'T HAVE TRAVEL INSURANCE The travel industry has changed a lot in the last couple of years. I am going to go out on a limb here and guess, there isn't one single person today, who would even contemplate, traveling without Travel Insurance.
Here are some key reasons, why I feel so strongly about this statement:
1. Travel is more complex and riskier today, when it comes to traveling away from home.
2. Depending on country you are visiting, without proof of Insurance, they may refuse care
3. May not be able to leave the country until medical bill is paid in FULL
4. The high medical bill, sometimes in the hundreds of thousands
5. Nonpayment will be given or sold to a collection agency in your country.
6. Lien on your property
7. Garnish wages
8. Bring down your credit score, driving up the costs for borrowing, or making it difficult to get a loan
9. Ban to travel if unpaid medical bill
10. Putting your entire Financial picture at risk.
