A stoma is a surgically created part of the intestines that protrudes from the abdominal wall when traditional means of waste exiting is not possible meaning emptying out from your bottom. I have an Ileostomy my stoma is on the right, just below my belly button. On some of my videos, you will see It do it’s thing meaning, output (means I’m still alive). There may be some red fluids visible as well. This does happen often in some of us, on some occasions, and usually is normal. See your stoma nurse if concerns. So, if any of that can make you squeamish, I’m letting you know now

This particular video is about the foods I ate, in the hospital, and home, following total colectomy (11/8/2017), and once I was cleared for solid foods.

I highly recommend keeping a food journal for at least the first few months to see how certain foods affect you.

And as always, Whatever you consume, CHEW, CHEW, and CHEW some more :)
