What is Plastic Surgery?

Plastic surgery deals with the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects of form or function involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, cranio and maxillofacial structures, hand, extremities, breast and trunk, and external genitalia. It uses aesthetic surgical principles not only to improve undesirable qualities of normal structures but in all reconstructive procedures as well. (website: https://www.facs.org/formedicalprof...)

I start with the breakdown of Plastic Surgery residents; what percent of them at IMGs? What percent are MDs and what percent are DOs? From there, I go into the average USMLE STEP1 scores and STEP2CK scores broken down in a detailed table. And after that, I break things down by percentiles. Throughout each of these steps, I compare these statistics to what is seen with Orthopedic Surgery residents.
