Although landscape architecture is arguably one of the least well known and most commonly misunderstood of the design professions, the work of landscape architects has a significant impact on communities and quality of life. The parks, waterfronts, streetscapes, plazas, botanical gardens, public and private gardens, and other open spaces they design define place and give a sense of identity and community.
