What equipment do you need for home workouts if you want to train like a gymnast?

Many people ask me, mostly for two main reasons: one is that someone's living situation or frequent travels don't allow access to a gym or equipment, and the other is concerns about the cost.

Basically, gymnastics training or calisthenics requires minimal equipment, making it one of the most widely used forms of exercise for those looking to get in better shape or become stronger and healthier.

You can perform tons of exercises virtually anywhere, anytime, so if you travel often and lack access to a gym or equipment, or simply due to your living conditions, this form of exercise is an excellent choice.

Additionally, this will also be the most costeffective option, but more on that later.

As I mentioned, even if you have no equipment at all, you can still perform many exercises just on the ground, in about 1020 square feet.

Therefore, there's absolutely no excuse not to achieve a better physique, but it's certain that you'll hit a plateau at some point since certain exercises and goals inevitably require some equipment.

First, let's go over everything you might need if you want to fully maximize this form of training and work out in the most functional and efficient way possible:

Resistance bands for joint preparation
A bar or surface you can hang on
Gymnastics rings or a suspension trainer
A surface for dips or something for supported positions
Elastic bands for assistance
Dumbbells
Weight vests or weight belt
Equipment for recovery, like foam rollers or massage balls.

Let's see why these tools are important and how much they might cost.
