In this video, I went over the storyline of Nacht Der Untoten. The kronorium only has a small paragraph talking about Nacht der untoten and its role in the zombies storyline. This is what it says:

"June 4th, 1945 – An allied plane malfunctions over an airfield and crashes. German army trucks, transporting the undead and element 115 between Group 935 facilities are struck in the crash. Marines surviving the crash hold out against the undead as long as they can"

Yes, I did exaggerate a little bit about the part where the soldiers were shooting as they were running toward the building. The World at War maps in cod zombies don't have huge stories especially because I doubt the creators at that time knew zombies would blow up the way it did. So I will exaggerate some parts in the first few maps. I thought it deserves a better story than that. And this doesn't even explain how or why the zombies were there in the first place. I feel like even if the soldiers that died there were unknown they at least deserved to be remembered. By the way, I know that the character models in Nacht and Verruckt are the same but the kronorium does say that they're different people and that the Nacht soldiers died.
