Hey everyone! Here is what I spend in a month as an American living in Portugal.

In this video, I'm covering each of my big monthly expenses, including:
Rent
Utilities
Groceries
Health insurance
Household items
Fun (going out to eat, traveling, etc.)

After covering the cost of each monthly expense, I'll compare the price of those same items for the United States.

Then, we will compare the totals in monthly expenses between Portugal and the United States! You'll see just how much money I save every year just on monthly expenses (in addition to savings on monthly expenses, I will also be saving thousands of dollars in fiscal year 2023 on taxes!).

For reference, the monthly expenses that I share are not necessarily relevant to every area of Portugal; I live in Lisbon where the cost of living is generally higher than in other areas of Portugal, so just keep that in mind.

Additionally, I am sharing each monthly expense in both euros and dollars; keep in mind that currency exchange rates are fluctuating all the time, so the value I share of each expense in US dollars might be different at the time you are viewing this video.
