What if the Jedi Council Insisted Anakin Join Them to Face Palpatine? Let’s explore the depths of it in the video.

Anakin ran through the Jedi Temple, searching for Mace Windu who was surprised to see the young Jedi running towards him.

Mace: Skywalker, what is the meaning of this?

Anakin: Breathlessly. The Sith Lord, I found him. It’s Chancellor Palpatine.

Mace: The chancellor. You are making a bold accusation. Are you certain?

Anakin: Yyes. I am.

He hesitates, wondering if he should say more, but he knows how serious this situation is and that the Jedi Order will need all the information they can get.

Anakin: He told me about his connection to the Dark Side. He was trying to convince me to join him.

Mace blinks and stares at the young Jedi. Although embarrassed, Anakin draws himself up, ready to accept whatever consequences. It was clear admitting this took a lot from Anakin and the Jedi Master responded with a grateful note.

Mace: Very well, if you are ready we can depart.

Anakin: Surprised. Yyou’re letting me join you?

Mace: When we asked you to spy on the chancellor, I admit I doubted your abilities to carry out this mission. But today you’ve proven yourself worthy of our trust and I apologize for doubting you.

Anakin can barely believe the words he’s hearing. He eagerly takes the outstretched hand as the rest of the strike team moves in.

When they arrive in the Senate building, Anakin remains outside as Mace leads the other three. He listens closely to hear what they are saying, but the voices are muffled until he hears a piercing shriek ripping through the office. He takes this as his signal and hurries inside just as Palpatine finishes off Saesee Tiin and Agen Kolar. Anakin ignites his lightsaber and blocks Palpatine’s next attack before he can finish off Kit Fisto. The chancellor’s face morphs into horror as he looks at Anakin with large, pleading eyes.

Palpatine: Anakin…please. Help me.

Anakin: I cannot help you, chancellor. Not unless you are willing to surrender.

His expression hardens as he pushes Anakin back and prepares to attack again.

Palpatine: Then you shall join them!

He Palpatine thrusts his hand out and while Anakin leaps out of the way, Kit Fisto slams against the wall and slumps on the ground. Mace takes this opportunity to strike from the side, but the Sith Lord blocks his attacks and focuses on the traitorous Jedi Knight.

The chancellor springs forward unleashing a barrage of attacks at Anakin. To his surprise, Anakin doesn’t falter like the more experienced Jedi Masters. Somehow, his lightsaber is everywhere Palpatine strikes, leaving his defenses nearly impenetrable. But he doesn’t just block attacks, Anakin also counters and mixes his blocks with attacks that ruin Palpatine’s choreographed moves.

One block comes too late and Palpatine stumbles, feeling a searing pain across his thigh. Anakin takes this opportunity for an overhead slash, but the Sith Lord throws a barrage of lightning Anakin’s way. He doubles over in pain, giving the chancellor a chance to stand up.

A cry behind him causes Palaptine to whirl around just as Mace rushes at him. The two lock lightsabers as the Force around them swirls with power. The darkness fills the room, but against Mace Windu, it has far less of an effect and he holds his ground. While the two are held in place, Kit Fisto wakes up reaches, and hurls some furniture at Palpatine.

It strikes the chancellor on the shoulder and Mace swings his lightsaber at his arm, causing Palaptine to cry out.

The two Jedi Masters rush at Palpatine, forcing the Sith Lord on the defensive. While the two Masters keep the chancellor on his toes, Anakin rushes forward and drives his lightsaber into his chest.

Palpatine’s eyes widen as he can only stare in surprise before he drops to the ground without a sound. The three Jedi stand over him, breathing heavily from their victory but they know they do not have time to celebrate.

Mace: We have everything we need here. Kit Fisto and I will take our recording to the Senate. Anakin, you must return to the Jedi Temple and warn them of what is happening. We may still yet face a counterattack.

Anakin: Understood, Master. May the Force be with you.

Anakin hurries back to their ship and flies off. However, as he disappears into the clouds, Anakin spots several gunships approaching the senate building. He doesn’t have time to dwell on it.

By the time Anakin returns, news has already begun filtering out of an attack on the Senate building and explains everything that happened before the council. Their eyes widen at the story, wondering how a Sith Lord was able to slip through right under their noses.

When the video stops, they all stare at each unable to comprehend what they saw.
