I’m a young (not so young) Mechanical Engineer currently working as a Plant Engineer in the FMCG space. I was born in the DR Congo, I moved to SA towards the end of 2007 where I completed both my grade 11 and matric. After completing my matric, I went to university of Johannesburg to study a BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which I completed in 2014. After completing my undergrad degree, I worked as a Graduate and junior mechanical engineer for a glass manufacturing and processing company in Johannesburg before relocating to East London to work for Mercedes Benz South Africa as a Maintenance Engineer and New model introduction project lead for the assembly plant maintenance department. While at Mercedes Benz SA I completed my MEng Engineering Management and a GCC then I left MBSA for a Plant Engineer role in a chemical processing plant then later moved for the same position in the FMCG space. I’m passionate by problem solving, leadership, maintenance engineering, asset care, project management, health and safety as well as Energy efficiency and sustainability.
