What is buying a house subject to and how do you know if you have a good deal? Today we're going inside a real estate deal I'm looking to buy. The house is listed on the MLS but the realtor, Michelle Harris, isn't getting any offers because of the condition of the property. The carpet needs to be replaced, it needs painting and there are some minor things that must be repaired before a family with kids can move in. But the seller owes almost as much as the house is worth so there's very little equity here. Further, the monthly payments are high and it won't cashflow with the current loan terms.
