What is cold wax? How do you use cold wax? Why are so many artists using it with oil paints? In this video I hope to answer these questions and give you some tips and techniques on some of the ways I apply oil and cold wax to my supports.

In the last couple of years, I have fallen in love with oil and cold wax and have been painting with it almost exclusively. Yes, I still like acrylics, but oil with cold wax seems to be the perfect fit for what I'm creating at this moment.

Some of the reasons why I like painting with oil and cold wax is because it dries faster, makes my oil paint thicker, and gives it a matte finish.
