After a daytime hang with my old buddies Iron Mike Bogart and Adolfo Acosta who are trumpet players with Tower of Power (formerly with Maynard Ferguson), I got a chance sit in again with this iconic band at the Tampa Bay Blues fest... also with my friend and another MF alumni Mike MacArthur. “What is Hip” … with my new HIP (which I had fully replaced about 5 weeks ago) How appropriate :)

The last time I got to play with Tower was way back in NYC at the Bottom Line (which is now closed) with the great sax player from Saturday Night Live, Lenny Pickett sitting in as well. That had to be over 20 years ago. How time flies! Hope it not another 20 before I get to hang with the great men of Tower again.
