Lent is a church tradition where Christians will fast for 40 days leading up to Easter. It’s a time when we remember when Jesus fasted in the desert for 40 days in preparation for His ministry. Fasting for Lent (sometimes called a “Lenten Sacrifice”) can look like a lot of different things. Some will fast from food, but you can also fast from other things like TV or social media. Fasting helps us to practice healthy selfdenial and it’s a great way to focus on what’s most important.
