We live in a time where prophetic ministry is needed more than ever before because we need to know what God's thinking. But let's answer the question: what is prophetic ministry? Prophetic ministry isn't just hearing from God or the basic gift that we all have, it's not a prophet because it doesn't have all the roles of a prophet. The main point of prophetic ministry is people who begin to carry an industry, a people group, ministry or a justice cause and carry God's heart in intercession and revelation over that group. When you carry a prophetic ministry, typically it means you hear from God more over certain issues than you do over things in your life and your story is wrapped up in that cause, ministry or focus.

God wants to speak to all of us! John 10:10 says His sheep hear His voice. We have such a biblical precedence of this...the gifts are for everyone. When you have a prophetic ministry, there is part of you that is engaged in something in a specific way to where your life begins to live out a message. The Prophetic Ministry carries the revelation and heart of God over that people group or industries. You know it's prophetic ministry when you start to live out the message and carry a specific revelation or burden for that people group, justice group, industry, nation etc.

Pray that God would give you a prophetic ministry for a people group or justice issue because He wants to do this for all of us.
