One is that in robotics surgery we have high definition equipments of camera, instruments and the instruments hey rotate 30 degrees and the surgeon doesn’t sit next to the patient, he sits near the equipment and the fine movements will lead to excessive movements in the abdominal wall. This requires a learning to do a robotic surgery whereas in a laparoscopic surgery the surgeon himself is manually moving the instruments ad doing, so that is why we do not get more than 180 degrees movement of the instruments, we do get 360 degrees like how we do in robotic surgery. In robotic surgery we operate deeper tissues and high definition cameras more visible for structures around. So injures to structures are very less common in robotic surgery but only thing is robotic equipment being more expensive the surgery can be more expensive.
