This video sheds light on the TCPA. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is a law that is put in place by the FCC, which means that it is a federal law. It essentially says that you can’t text message spam people, which is a great way to protect consumers. In the TCPA, there are two components that apply to text message marketing. One is that consent cannot be a condition of purchase. The second is you have to get the consent of consumers, and they have to consent to receive autodialed marketing messages from you before you can text message them.
