Welcome back to my channel!! :) My name is Amber & I am a first year fifth grade teacher. I started teaching 5th grade in August of 2021, so I'm a little over halfway through my first year of teaching! I wanted to create this video to share a few things I've learned so far in my first year.

I am still learning new things and changing what I think works every day. So looking back at this video, there are things I've learned to do differently even now as I upload!

You will experience so many situations in your first year of teaching, there is no way to be fully prepared for everything you will encounter. However, remember that you chose this profession for a reason and you were meant to be in your students' lives for a reason so just do your best each day to be the teacher you were meant to be!
