The Telephone Consumer Protection Act was adopted by Congress in 1991. It’s a series of rules and regulations that are implemented by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and it governs issues around text message marketing. The TCPA sets up the requirements for brands to know when they can use text message marketing to reach consumers.
