New information from the Southern Alps Long Skinny Array (SALSA). John Townend of Victoria University Wellington explains why scientists are deploying 50 seismometers along the length of the Alpine Fault. The SALSA project aims to calculate how many different earthquake shaking scenarios could impact different locations around New Zealand.
