Everquest is an old MMO. A classic MMORPG with a loyal and eager fanbase. But EQ is getting long in the tooth as we now approach it's third decade. So the question has to be asked: What would make you Play Everquest in 2023?

Would a new Game Engine work? Like Everquest in Unreal Engine 5 or Everquest in Unity?

New projects like Lantern EQ and those by ‪@jkader1987‬ make the possibility of something like this feel even more real.

If a new engine wouldn't convince you, though, what about monetization? Do you get frustrated with Everquests f2p model? Are you upset about a subscription, perks, exp potions, expansions...etc...etc.? What if Everquest was Buy 2 Play or if they nixed Krono?

And finally...would it take an entirely new game to convince you? Apologies for bringing up Everquest Next but...it was at least taking Everquest in a new direction.
