Since we are documenting our current "Project 211" I thought I'd take a minute to explain how property taxes work when you buy acreage in many areas. If you are not careful you could find your taxes going from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands (depending on state and a whole bunch of factors) once you buy that nice piece of land.
