The Pentel Large Water Brush is still my FAVORITE! However, the palette that I featured in the original post had been replaced with the ones I made myself. This video tells you the advantages and disadvantages of the each.

If you want to start with the original palette, it's the Koi Pocket Field Sketch Box with 24 colors. You can purchase it on Amazon for less than $25 (as of 4/2024). It was what I started with before I used professional grade which are packed with pigment.

My NEW Favorite MINI Watercolor Kit – Many of these items are optional, but this is my favorite collection of supplies I currently carry everywhere I go. Once you begin your journey to create “on the go,” you will figure out what you need to have in your kit.
Journal of choice and size varies, but most are watercolor paper 140lb. (Moleskine, Pentalic, Strathmore…)
Water Brush – Large Pente
Limited Palette in small tin (four ½ pans with magnets)
o Perylene Red (Daniel Smith)

Convenience Colors limited palette
