What is a "DITTY BAG? The definition is a receptacle for odds and ends. It is also referred to as a small bag used to carry one's personal effects or toiletries while traveling.

"Why is it called a ditty bag? The origin of the term is unknown, but the most likely interpretation is that ditty comes from the word 'ditto,' meaning two of everything, such as spare clothing or supplies that sailors had to pack. While, I don't carry two of everything, most items do have a dualpurpose to ensure a successful hike occurs...just as planned !

Many have asked, "What do you carry in your backpack?" In the previous video, post multiday hike, I didn't unpack my gear on purpose; so that we could unpack it together.

I chose to do a separate video for the little "dittybag" because it has small, random items that are essential to my hike and maybe yours!

At a normally sub 20lbs at 1317llbs, this little ditty bag play a great organizational role so that I don't lose items on the trail and in the camp.
