They say the slant six is one of the toughest and most reliable engines ever built. My experiences with the slant have been a little... different than that. But in general I've had good luck with them on the channel until this one. This engine would barely stay running, and made what seemed to be horrible mechanical noise. I am installing a Magnum based 408 stroker where this slant used to live under the hood of Dylan's Dart Sport. So this engine is now spare parts, and I really don't need to go any further with it. But I'm curious, so follow along as I dive into this slant six in search of wondrous horrors.
