One of the first things I encountered as a new nurse practitioner seeing patients on my own was the decisionmaking process of when to bring a patient back to the clinic again at the end of the visit.
The most unhelpful answer to this question? It depends!
But actually there is a framework you can use to answer this question for each patient sitting in front of you.
