Where 65hp can take you! 7000 feet in a J3 Cub.
Cruising at 7200 feet in my 1940 J3 Cub (since sold to buy my PA18 Super Cub).
The Cub’s little 65hp (171 cubic inch) Continental surprisingly didn’t take too long to get up there with only one on board. An extra person however, and the climb performance decreases significantly.
This Cub is fitted with 29” tundra tyres for STOL type operations.
