Italy and Odesa have been connected since its foundation. Today the city on the Black Sea remains a center for Italian activity in Ukraine – especially humanitarian projects. Odesa resident and Italian citizen Ugo Poletti, who is also the publisher of "The Odessa Journal," talks to Kyiv Post about how Italy's connection to Ukraine has spurred the current government in Rome to deepen its support.
