Happy Whisker Wednesday! Amber Harrell of Cat Haven is back with another stunningly beautiful cat. All of the cats that Cat Haven bring in are beautiful, but some of them have unique features...like Birdy. Birdy is a tortoiseshell domestic shorthair cat. She has a beautiful coat of fur. She's about a year and a half old and is such a sweet little cat. She plays well with the other cats at Cat Haven and also loves people. Her adoption fee is $125. If you prefer a kitten instead, Cat Haven has plenty of them. The adoption fee for a kitten is $135. If you can't adopt, fostering is another option to help someone get a feel for owning a cat. It also gives the cat a chance to become better socialized and experience living in a home with a family. Cat Haven is also in need of more volunteers. Volunteers will help with the general upkeep of the shelter and they will get to play with their new feline friends. Speaking of shelter, Cat Haven is accepting monetary donations for their new shelter. Monetary donations for cat supplies and other needs are also accepted. Their next event is Cat Cafe. This will be held on August 3rd at 1 p.m. at the main library on Goodwood Blvd. in Baton Rouge. Attendees will get to meet and play with adoptable cats.
