The entire box is made from White Oak using rift and quarter sawn grain to reduce wood movement and show off the beautiful straight grain and ray fleck that White Oak is known for. The traditional coopered top is reinforced with hand hammered metal strapping and authentic rose head, cut nails. The interior of the chest features two removable trays lined with velvet flocking for a more refined interior suitable for collectibles, or even jewelry. A false bottom to the case is a great place for little ones to hide additional treasure, or a fun way to organize more of your collectibles. The Aromatic Cedar bottom adds a sensory element to the piece with fresh smells of Cedar. Corner braces, Lbrackets, strapping, chest handles and a locking clasp add strength and character to this traditional piece.
