After two weeks of failing to find icebergs in Newfoundland we were about to give up until we heard a rumour that a big spikey visitor had just arrived in Brighton.

Much to our delight, the rumour was true so we parked the camper as close as we could and headed out on foot to get close to this beautiful but freezing monolith of 10,000yearold ice.

It seems that 'Iceberg Alley' is real after all. I capture some spectacular footage and stills with the drone while trying my best not to transform into an icicle.

I show you my secret to getting more clarity, sharpness and resolution out of my drone images so you might not need to upgrade your done after all.

After two successful shoots, I meet up with a local who enjoys harvesting the ice from this ancient glacial shard. He gifts me a beautifully clear chunk to enjoy in my cocktails but I'm not 100% sure it's safe to drink. Who knows what kind of funky bacteria there might be trapped in ice that predates human civilization.

I interrupt Amanda's morning shower to share my exotic find. After placing the ice in the freezer she then proceeds to burn my breakfast but that allows me to leave you with a nailbiting cliffhanger.

Will the rain stop long enough to allow me one last shot and is it possible to shoot a panorama using a drone? What will this grilled cheese taste like and how easy is boondocking in Newfoundland?

There's really only one way to find out.
