Part 2/3 FOV Vitrectomy series. Is a floaters only vitrectomy (FOV) as risky as you've heard? In this video, I will explain why the tables have turned and a floaters only vitrectomy is perhaps no longer the nono that everyone thinks it is. There have been great strides made in the treatment of retinal conditions via vitrectomy, but this has also improved the possibilities for its use as an eye floaters treatment. This should mean that all floaters sufferers should feel less anxious because of the prospect of having a matured surgical solution as a backup treatment for your eye floaters.

The fact that a vitrectomy is routinely carried out by vitreoretinal surgeons regularly in the course of making surgical repairs at the back of the eye. The pars plana floaters only vitrectomy, or FOV has been going through refinement over the years. In this video, I want to encourage anyone living with eye floaters and feeling that there is no cure. I address how the common risks associated with a vitrectomy are being reduced by surgeons and why, even if you do not intend to have a vitrectomy right now, floaters only vitrectomy can be a lifetransforming procedure for the right individuals.
