April 14th, 2023 is the day that Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern start merging to creating Canadian Pacific Kansas City/CPKC Rail. While I can't answer how the two railroads will merge, I can share some reasons why the merger looks like dollar signs from Canadian Pacific's point of view. We also mention the DM&E, CMQ, SOO/WC, the D&H, and other CP gains and loses in the last three decades.
