The Top Down RDL isolates your glutes and hamstrings more, it has less force on the lower back, and it can improve mobility in the hamstrings.

‍♀ If you’re lacking in mobility, or are over the bar scraping your shins in a Traditional Deadlift, it might be time to change it up and try the Top Down RDL instead.
