Why did Cormac McCarthy write "The Road?" The common theory is that while he was with his son in El Paso, he started to think about the world in 150 years. He let that idea sit in his head for a couple years and wrote "The Road" in six weeks. Well, today I will be presenting an alternative theory to that story. Using heavy synchronicities from McCarthy's personal life and its connection to his son, the Manhattan Project, and McCarthy's violent characters I drop some farout critical theory that I've never seen mentioned before!
