Crater Lake National Park is one of the oldest in America and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to its beautiful, cerulean waters. But, what created Crater Lake? Well, a massive volcano. The Crater Lake Volcano Eruption was one of the most powerful eruptions in the world in the past 12,000 years and is the primary reason why Crater Lake is so deep.
