Once upon a time, a young boy in Iran dreamed of becoming a doctor. In 1979, this young boy and his family were ostracized for their beliefs, and courageously escaped the Iranian revolution on foot. A domino effect of Catholic generosity changed the trajectory of his life. Arriving to the United States, knowing no English, but experiencing the devoted hearts of others, this young man graduated college and medical school and realized HIS American dream of becoming a pediatrician. In 2023, he accepted the opportunity to serve as the new President of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon!
