What's the difference between living downtown Toronto vs living in the suburbs? Having lived in both areas I share my reasoning behind why I chose the suburbs (North York) over downtown living. I go into explanation of the slower pace lifestyle, transportation, safety, and rent costs that exists out in North York, Ontario. Despite North York being part of the Greater Toronto Areas I have noticed some major differences in my living situation in comparison to when I was living centre core of Toronto. One of the advantages I enjoy living out in the suburbs is the ability to fully disconnect my brain and having the option of going downtown in the weekend should I need vs having to live downtown on a 24/7 basis. As for now, I am really enjoying living in North York and I hope this video can help those who may be debating whether they should live downtown Toronto or the suburbs.
