Having a job in an orchestra, isn't that having a creative job allready? There is a big difference in what you see when an orchestra is performing its concert and rehearsingtime.
For me, after having had wonderful years in the orchestra, I couldn't go on and started looking for different things to fill in my time and also for the period once the government decides to stop its financial input and the orchestra has to shut down.
It made me realise something which leads for me, in the strangest of all times, to start an artcareer in my fiftees.
