Last year at the 2021 Wisconsin SelfDetermination Conference, I was a keynote presenter and shared my life story. In this episode of Stewing with Stacy, I reflect on why I feel it’s important to share my story with others. I also share an excerpt from my keynote from last year and what has been going on in my life since then.

I use a communication app on my phone to speak. The one I use is called Proloquo2Go. I'm able to preprogram what I want to say or type things out when I'm having a conversation. Here’s the link to a video where I talk about Proloquo2Go:    • Assistive Technology | Proloquo2Go | ...

I manage an online site called the SelfDetermination Network. It’s a place to promote “SelfDetermination by working together to understand, implement and create rewarding lives for elders and citizens with disabilities.” It’s not affiliated with the SelfDetermination Channel. Here’s a link if you’d like to check it out. http://sdnetworkwi.org

The Caregiver crisis is real. To hear more stories about the essential work caregivers do, watch these videos to meet family caregivers from across Wisconsin:    • Family Caregiver Series 2021
