The UTMB World Series announced a new event right here in my backyard of Whistler, British Columbia. The first edition of this brand new race will be held on Sept. 28th, 2024, the same weekend that the Whistler Alpine Meadows has traditionally been held. But WAM was cancelled, and it wasn't until this week's announcement that the reason for that became a little more clear.
