Assassin's Creed is one of gaming's most influential franchises, winning over the hearts of fans with its fluid traversal systems, gorgeous environments, and unique stories across different time periods.

However, there is one game on this list that stands out... by not standing out? Assassin's Creed: Syndicate has one of the most charming concepts out of any game in the series, yet, for some reason, it sits at the bottom of the franchise's barrel. Why?

Today I decided to ask myself this question by taking the game apart, piece by piece, and looking at some of the problems that limited its potential to become one of the greatest games in the series.
