Why the Leopard 1 makes so much more sense for Ukraine now than various other tanks like the Leopard 2, Challenger 2 etc. as so often it comes down to logistics. Additionally, although the Leopard 1 is rather dated and relatively weakly armored main battle tank, it is still equipped with a powerful gun and better armored and armed than most other vehicles and nonvehicles it faces.
