Ableton Live is arguably one of the best sampling platforms with multiple samplers that excel at different workflows and the way that it all integrates with racks, midi and audio tracks and the session view, you could say that Live is one giant sampler, that’s great for creative sample manipulation. And pretty easy to use too.

It’s a bit strange that Ableton Live’s 2 main samplers Sampler and Simpler are in a way the same device you can turn a Sampler into Simpler and vice versa. But they don’t have the same features. In fact, the more powerful and feature rich Sampler hasn’t received any significant improvements in recent years and lacks some crucial features that can be found in Simpler.
