Why Nobody Lives In Northern Florida

This video explains why Florida's population is heavily concentrated in the southern half of the state. Historical factors, such as early European settlements, geographic features like low elevation, extensive coastlines, and limestone bedrock, along with economic factors like natural harbors, have made Southern Florida more attractive for development. In contrast, Northern Florida, especially the Panhandle, is less populated due to its wetlands, lack of natural harbors, and fewer economic opportunities. This has led to a striking difference in population density between the two regions.
