The Fisker Karma is still a remarkable and rather unique sight on the roads. And not only because of its large wheels and the flowing lines of the great car designer Henrik Fisker, but also because of the limited amount of cars ever made. Still, there are 80 cars officially registered in Holland. In this episode of Sjoerds Weetjes we go back fifteen years in time and we study the development of the Fisker brand. The question is; what went wrong and what were the plans of Fisker.
Autovisie journalist Sjoerd van Bilsen was invited by an enthusiastic Fisker owner for a meeting in the Dutch province of Zeeland. Every year; some enthusiastic Fisker owners come together for a meeting. And we are not only talking about Dutch owners, but internationally. And so, 19 lucky Fisker owners got together in Zeeland for a meeting. There were some Dutch owners, but even cars from Germany, Switzerland and Sweden. The ladies and gentlemen than drove along the Veerse Dam for a tour through Zeeland where they enjoyed the local culture and exchanged stories about their experiences with the Karma. The Karma still is a remarkable car. Even some car enthusiasts are not familiar with the brand and the Karma itself. The Karma remains a special sight, even if the production is continued to this day in North America under the name Karma Revero. Sjoerd delves into the history of the brand.
