How Long Does It Take To Grow On Twitch?

Truthfully you probably right now aren’t good enough at making content, much like I wasn’t good enough a few years ago, your production quality probably needs work, you need to become a better editor, or a better presenter so even if you made a video that was incredibly discoverable people probably wouldn’t subscribe or watch it because it just wasn’t up to par with other established creators content. You might have the absolutely BEST game show idea or way to make your Twitch stream unique, but you don’t have the viewers, following, or experience to pull it off yet.

Burnie Burns who founded Roosterteeth always quoted, it takes 10,000 hours to become a master at something, you can start working on those 10,000 hours now or you can wait but one of those options will let you start growing into the creator you want to be and the other won’t, it’s up to you.

How To Create GOOD Content And Grow On Twitch In 2021?

To start growing on Twitch, you need to start making BAD content and learn how to turn that into good content. With practice and experience, you'll be able to entertain and engage viewers better.

Improving yourself isn’t automatic, it actually takes work to see what you are doing wrong. If you release the same videos over and over, that they never get better, never perform, then you aren’t gaining experience.

Ben Marriot is a massive Youtuber, and he said to me a few years ago that he uses a technique called, “The Durry Method” In Australia, a Durry is another name for a cigarette, you’ll see why in a second he calls it The Durry Method.

When he creates anything at all, he makes sure that the project maintains 80% skills he is confident in, and then always adds in 20% of new skills he wants to learn.

This way he was always improving his craft without becoming overwhelmed by a huge scale project… and if you look at this bar graph it looks like a cigarette so …. So he named it the durry method.

The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty.
