Using "Je veux" in a French sentence isn't really a problem, but in some situations it's not very polite. For example, you are sitting on the terrace of a café and you say: “Je veux un café”. It's a little too direct. It is best to use the conditional to make a polite request "Je voudrais". In this video I offer you other alternatives to express your wishes correctly :)
